About the Library

Guidelines and Expectations

Books are borrowed for one week at a time.  Books may be renewed for one additional week. Exceptions are made for students doing book reports.

The Make Your Day rule (No One Has the Right to Interfere With the Learning, Safety, or Well-Being of Others) applies in the library as it does in any other area of the school.

Library expectations include being respectful and responsible for their own behavior whether they are with their class, a small group or individually.  This includes being respectful and responsible for library materials, including books and other library equipment and resources.

Our Library's Purpose

The purpose of a school library is to support our student's education as lifelong learners and readers by putting resources in the hands of students, encouraging students to read, teaching students the skills necessary to evaluate information, and encouraging student responsibility.

Library Staff

Mrs. C

Mrs. C. is shown with her nose in a book.  She loves to read stories to your children each time they come to the library.  Reading is one of Mrs. C’s favorite things to do in her spare time, it is no wonder that she loves being the library tech at Sunset School Library!
