Penny Drive - April 16-20

posted Apr 11, 2018, 10:06 AM by Diana Blevins

It's time to bring in those pennies you have been saving throughout the year.  April 16-20 is our Penny Drive.  Each classroom strives to be THE class with the most pennies.  Everyone also has the chance to put silver coins and dollar bills in other classrooms.  The total of silver coins and dollars goes against the value of the pennies collected. Every day the pennies are counted  and any silver coins or dollar bills subtracted from each classroom's total.  On morning announcements the classrooms in first through sixth place are announced.   It's a great time of fun competition.  The younger students learn their way to other classrooms and meet those teachers.  It's also a fun way for them to learn the value of each coin.
